I need help badly!

So i just built this PC for a Friend and when i go to power it up All the fans light up and then just turn off. I had a 350W psu and a 480W psu in it to try same result... Help...

The back of the motherboard is shorted/grounding to the case metal. Check that every standoff is installed.

I know you said you tried 2 PSU's , but don't run the 350W Diablotek , it's a very very poor PSU.

All the stand offs are installed, the only thing touching the case is the foam from the back plate of the Heatsink, should i remove it?

NO, but if we cant resolve the on/off you will have to "breadboard" it sooner of later. It means building & testing the rig on a piece of wood.

Overheating?

This same thing happened to me when I built my first PC. I tried taking the motherboard out of the case and tried it out on top of a box.. No luck on the box. I sent the motherboard back to the seller to be replaced. The seller said the motherboard worked for him strangely enough. Maybe he lied so he could get his restock fee and avoid bad feedback. Anyway, the replacement motherboard worked the first try and it worked only for about 4 years. The lesson I learned there was not to buy cheap seller refurbished motherboards off ebay.

Take everything out of the case, put it back in, and try again. Sometimes that helps. You've already tried that though probably. Try this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8UhTjsUosg Do what the guy in the video does.

Another thing to check is the CPU fan. Make sure it's plugged into the proper place. SYS_FAN is wrong. CPU_FAN is right. That's one thing that could possibly cause your problem.

For some reason when i put a 500w psu it worked perfectly :/
