I just got an SSD today (after surviving an 8-year-old HDD) and am thrilled with its performance, but my startup time still isn't great because it takes a while just to get to the actual OS startup. I took some extra stuff (a second TV tuner and two DVD drives) out of my rig to see if that would improve it but boot times are still slow.

I recorded a video of it so you can have a look.

My current specs are as follows:

Internal
Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3
AMD Phenom II X6 1035T
2x 4GB PNY Optima DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GeForce GT440
Conexant Falcon II Analog tuner
RaLink Wireless G adapter (PCI)
Samsung SuperWriteSpeed DVD drive
Crucial M4 128GB SSD
Western Digital Caviar 7200rpm 250GB HDD
SanDisk ReadyCache 32GB SSD

External
Generic bluetooth dongle
Seagate Expansion USB3.0 1TB HDD

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do you still have that problem? Because I use the same mobo and it takes exactly 8 seconds to hear the beep sound and another 8 seconds till windows splash screen. I think this is too much, my system boots up in a total 26 seconds, 16 of which caused by whatever happens before loading windows.
