Why is my CPU so hot with liquid cooling?

I just installed a Corsair H55 unit on top of my AMD Phenom ii x4 965. I am not overclocking at all. In addition to the intake fan on the radiator which is on the back of my case, I have and intake fan on top of my PC and an exhaust fan on the side. With all this accounted for my CPU is around 65C while im just online no gaming or anything intense. I know the pump is working because the entire unit is very hot to the touch (the cooling tubes and the radiator). Im afraid if I start gaming it will overheat and I dont want anything to break.

What pinhedd said and make sure that u have it mounted securely as if ur not stressing the cpu u shouldnt be near 65c, may be bad contact, could be debris in the way or need new thermalpaste, pretty sure that a non high static pressure fan would cause that bad of temps.

I mounted a antec 620 to a x6 1090t with no paste on the waterblock and whatever was left on the cpu and with regular use for like 30min temps hit 55c at stock, was just testing to make sure it worked as bought it open boxed but new paste and a firm contact is best. So make sure the screws going to the backplate are nice and tight, but obviously too tight
