Windows Home VS Professional? 32bit Vs 64 bit?

I have never tried windows 7 before, but now have to change the system from XP to Windows 7.

Shall I purchase Home edition or Professional edition? Mainly use it for office work, study, vidoes. No game playing.

How to choose between 32bit and 64 bit. Need to run Webex and vpn and some vidoes in encryption. They perform perfectly under XP, but no idea about win 7.

Could anyone give me some suggestion?

Thank you.

I use Win 7 64 bit professional

pro gets ya ....

-Get "XP Mode" for old program compatibility
-Work network compatibility (more machines on LAN)
-more backup options

as for 32 vs 64

Thank you. If I pick up a 64bit Professional with XP mode. Can webex and vpn be compatible with it? Because I do not know whether they are based on 32bit or 64 bit and it is said a system with 64bit may have some compatability problem in running the software based on 32bits. That is my concerns.
