Hey gents,

Will quickly describe my issue before listing my system.

Basically went out and bought a new Samsung SSD and did a fresh install of windows 7 64bit on my machine.

Ever since reinstalled windows on a clean boot I have been getting lock ups, sometimes requiring hard reset, other times I can continue. In event viewer I often receive the nvlddmkm event 14 error prior to the system locking up, although this does not always happen. I also sometimes receive the driver has stopped responding prompt on the taskbar.

It never seems to lock up when im gaming, only generally whilst web browsing or leaving the machine idle.
Prior to my reformat I was experiencing none of these issues, so it is down to a hardware or software issue somewhere since.

A few things I have tried.
- Updating bios
- Checking RAM timings and voltage
- Harddrive testing
- New and older drivers with clean installs
- All the usual maintenance and virus, chkdsk etc etc
- Checked inside the case with no obvious issues.
- Temps and dust

Now basically I put the issue down to either a potential software conflict or perhaps I installed some incorrectly or missed something I needed during reformat, I may have knocked something installing the SSD, my psu may not quite be strong enough either.

- Intel i5 3570
- ASUS P8Z77-M PRO
- ASUS GTX560 Ti
- 650W Antec Eco model PSU

- Creative Soundblaster Z
- 8gb DDR3 Gskill Sniper Ram
- 250GB Samsung 840 Series SSD

Please lend me your thoughts and suggestions lads.
