budget processor for a little bit of gaming

i m from india and wanted a budget processor with average clock speed that is ddr 2 compatible (2gb) motherboard is intel G31/G965 that is able to run at least assasins creed 1

Core 2 duo E8500/8600/8700 (dual core socket 775)
or
Core 2 Quad 9550/9650 (quad core socket 775)

this is decent cpus but for Assassin's creed 1 you have to look at your graphic card. Graphic card is more important then CPU in gaming :)
