I have ADSL 1.5 as dodo tell me that I can not get ADSL 2 + at my Address. A speed test shows me that I have a ping of 62ms (Tas-Vic) and a download speed of 865 and a upload of 182 is this ok?

if you have a lot of internal extension wiring in the house from the phone line try disconnecting the extension from the first master socket and see if it is causing interference in the line, in the uk we have something known as the bell wire which we do not need anymore but it is wired in a lot of older and even some newer houses and it can cause quite a speed drop and even random disconnects because it adds interference to the line.
Depends what you are trying to do?

Presuming that your numbers are kilobytes per second, then as some examples - iPlayer is around 220, Lovefilm can be around 300-400, radio streaming is around 20.

You wouldn't want to run a Minecraft server on that upload, but I run my I.T. business on 500/100 (rural UK) with 4 employees here with two Vonage lines and multiple connections to various hosted servers and cloud services.
