Thoughts on polished z87 gaming build? ($3000 budget) need advice on graphics card space on my motherboard.

Motherboard: ASUS z87 Expert
RAM: Corsair Vengeance PRO 1600MHz Gold
CPU Cooler: Swiftech H320
Hard drive: Western Digital Blue 1TB
SSD: Samsung 840 PRO Series 128GB
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 850W
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Optical Drive: ASUS DVD Burner 24
Graphics Card: Either iChill GeForce GTX 780 HerculeZ X3 Ultra or iChill GeForce GTX 780 Accelero Hybrid
Lighting: 2 x Bitfenix Alchemy 300mm White LED Strips

Thoughts? Any possible improvements? Do I need aftermarket thermal paste? How much can I reasonably overclock my CPU to considering the case and cooling?

1. Change the thermaltake psu to a top notch unit like this

Power Supply: Cooler Master V850 850W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V /EPS12V Power Supply ($98.00 @ Newegg)

And change the gtx 780 to 2xgtx760/770 which will outperform a gtx titan too

I know that a 760/770 SLI setup would be better yes, but there's no point buying two weaker cards to outperform a card that I can already a) fit in my budget b) SLI at a later date, once the price comes down

I had also heard that Coolermaster PSU's were average, as their speciality was cases, not power supplies. I know that silverstone and corsair make excellent stuff.

U r wrong my friend the v series from coolermaster is tier 1 unit
And if u dont wanna get it get a seasonic/xfx/corsair hx supply the supply i suggested u is a great one

The Toughpower is a decent unit made by Channel Well , no need to change it.It's also Haswell compatible.

I was gonna say, I'd heard a lot of great things about Thermaltake. Would you be able to give me any advice on the graphics card situation? Still confused as to how much space is required.

Did you read the question? I know that my components will fit the case, I'm asking how much room my graphics card will occupy on the motherboard. Also, the Corsair Carbide Air 540 is one of the best cases for cooling on the market and means that i'll have both excellent cable management and separation of my motherboard, GPU and RAM from the rest of my components. Can someone please tell me if I'm going to have spacing issues with the GPU on the motherboard.

ahhh i'm so much less confused now, i thought that it would take up 3 of the graphics card slots, but it takes up one of those, with two other 1x PCIE slots
