Hi
So I decided to go with i5 3470 for my gaming pc and bump it a little on a cheap z77 motherboard.
I have a couple of candidates:
MSI Z77MA-G45
Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H
Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H
MSI Z77A-G43
Gigabyte GA-Z77-HD3

My budget is limited atm so the cheaper the better, provided its got decent quality to last 2+ years until say broadwell .. that will hopefully get a better performing thermal paste under the lid
I dont need anything fancy on the board, just the ability of a slight overclock, couple sata6, good enet-chip, decent sound, no need for sli or cf

I'm a little biased towards gigabyte since ive had one of their older P35-DS3 with q9400 running@3.4 for 4years... Would msi be comparable to gb at this price range?
What particular board would you suggest?

also
Founding out what components yanks can get for about the same price compared to what I can makes me sick.. and not only that, they also get mobo/cpu combo deals... insane and unfair

I live in czech r.
cheers

for the same price i would only get 4570 and cheap h87 mobo so if i ever wanted to overclock broadwell i would need to first buy z97 or some oc-enabled equivalent
also from what i gathered, haswell non K cannot be overclocked the same way as ivy bridge.. multiplier can only be set to turbo speed for a given cpu.. some games still benefit from the higher clocks rather than architecture or number of cores

thanks. so in your mind it makes more sense if i went with haswell 4570 and a b85/h77 without a little oc bump? also who knows... haswell wasnt a particularly impressive tock in the first place and broadwell is only a tick
so i might end up skipping broadwell the same way ivy bridge owners are skipping haswell:)
and what are the chances lga1150 will get another generation after broadwell..

i should have cleared that i have a 7870xt in my current build, sorry... integrated graphics is the least of my worries

3470 is 4520czk
4570 is 4677czk
8.110 US Dollar difference
overclocked 3470 is on average about 4% more powerful than stock 4570
but 3470 needs z77 while pretty much a basic low end b85 would cut it for 4570

e.g.
one of the suggested above GA-Z77-DS3H is 2155czk
with 4570 i would probably go with GA-B85M-D3H which is 1840czk
16.281 US Dollar difference

the prices include vat and 3yr warranty
1US Dollar equals 19.36 Czech Republic Koruna

btw.. atm in here we have an offer available for 4670k with grid 2 game costing only about 10$ more than 3570k..
and 3570 non K is actually more expensive than 4570

let me rephrase...
4670k for 5617czk = US$290 + grid2
3570k for 5444czk = US$282 + nothing
the prices include vat and 3yr warranty, though i could probably find better deals... better by ~10$

i read about ocing on non Z87 mobos. later i might be deciding between ocing versus uprading bios for better stability:/

edit: gigabyte has F5 bioses out since 5th, older bioses have been removed. msi seems to have done the same
