Hello all,
After 5 years i'am ready to build my new rig. I i will use it for gaming and graphics design, with a bit of coding, and web development/design.

My current setup is:
CPU - AMD Phenom 9600 quad core 2.3 Ghz - http://reviews.cnet.com/processors/amd-phenom-9600-2/4505-3086_7-32763816.html

MBO - Gigabayte GA-MA790FX-DQ6 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128070

PSU - corsair tx850 watt - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139009

GPU - Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 X2 - http://www.cnet.com/graphics-cards/sapphire-radeon-hd-4850/4505-8902_7-33421567.html

RAM - kingston 800mhz ddr2 - 4GB

Monitor - 1280x1024 LG 17"

HDD - System - ssd vertex 4 ocz
- Data - 500GB WD black and WD 2 TB black

MiniATX case

My new build would be:

i7 4770K hashwell 3.5 Ghz - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116901

ASUS Z87-A LGA 1150 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131981

LC-POWER GAMING 975B AIR WING - http://www.pcaxe.com/vesti/hardver/lc-power-gaming-975b-air-wing-maj2013

PC-12800, 16 GB, G.SKILL Ares series 2x 8GB kit - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231558

and GPU : MSI N780-3GD5 GeForce GTX 780 3GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127740

I will be buyind a new monitor donw the line too.

I curretly have enough money to buy either a GPU or everything else (except monitor)

I'am from croatia so all the prices are duble than in america, so unfortunately i'am stuck with next dillema:

To buy just the GPU and save up eventually for everything else (p.s. it could take a bit longer 6 months to an year to save up enough for everythnig else) or to buy everythning but psu and monitor and save up for that.

I'want to build this so i don't have to buy or upgrade anything esle for at least 5-6 years.

P.S.
Current PC suffer form Display driver BSOD i have tried everything and tested everything but can't seem to find a solution and it is like that for a year now..it happens mostly when playing games - skyrim - gta 4 etc... some times it's normal and can play whole dayand other i cant play for a minute.
Becouse of that my patience has run out and will be upgrading now.

Please help me with some advice on what to buy for now GPU and leave my old CPU MBO, etc... or buy new Case, CPU, Memory, MBO, RAM and leave my old graphic card.

Allso advice or opinion on my selection of hardware for a new build will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and help!

Why not build a whole new system that is moderately priced? If you can spend 650 on a video card alone right now that will bottleneck your CPU and will be 100000x more than what you need for your monitor resolution.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1pDAp

$716, 6 core CPUm 16GB ram, use your existing HD's and you could overclock it like a beast. You could bump that up to a 8core CPU and drop the liquid cooler like this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1pDBl

I would like to bould something that will be enough for my needs for nexet 5-6 years like my old build :)

No AMD for me.. i have and AMD build now and decidet to switch to intel.. i'am not happy with AMD...
I know CPU will be bottleneck but don't know how much of an impact will have in gameing?

Keep in mind that i will be buying a nwe monitor with a higher resolution down the line...

that is not an bad build but it cost way more than 1000$ here in Croatia :-(

as an example gtx 670 is 380$ here :-(

I could get 2x gtx670, not a bad idea :) but not sure they will fit on my current mobo?
That is why i was thinking to get only 1 card...

My main dillema is how much improvement will be if a get just an gpu... or will it be better to get cpu/mobo/ram(case combination and use my old gpu?
