Can you point me to any webcams (less than 20 quid) which will allow me to use skype on 64bit Win8, my Philips SPC230NC refuses to co-operate

Sorry -"quid" is slang for pound sterling. I live in the UK

This cam looks good to me for 12 pounds and it has got good review, so you should take a look at this one.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-YFC-00003-LifeCam-VX-2000/dp/B0024R3220/ref=sr_1_45?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1375964769&sr=1-45

Also you can have a look at other cams at http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_3?rh=n%3A340831031%2Cn%3A%21340832031%2Cn%3A429893031%2Cn%3A430595031%2Cp_72%3A419154031&page=3&bbn=430595031&sort=price&ie=UTF8&qid=1375964769 . Pick the one which has got good reviews and is from a good company

I hope this helps. Is there anything I can help you in?

Thanks Sangeet, but Microsoft don't advertise a Win8 driver for this one

Okay, so this is the cam which I would recommend. This has HD support which is a must by today's standards. Also it has got good reviews.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-T3H-00003-LifeCam-HD-3000/dp/B004JM61D0/ref=sr_1_21?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1375965707&sr=1-21

Anyways, if a cam works fine with Windows 7, it should not have any problem running with Windows 8, so that should not be a problem. Really any cam would work just fine with Windows 8 as it worked with Windows 7.

I hope this helps.
