Hi guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my 3 year old motherboard, it's an ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 and it sucks; I'd like to get an FX 8350 AMD CPU (4 ghz) but since it's an AM3 socket among other things that are imcompatible with my mobo, I'm looking for a new one.

So, I'll be ordering off of newegg.ca, and my budget is $100 for the motherboard. I'm out of town right now but I'll try to remember my specs for my current build:

PSU: Ultra LS600 600W http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3255393&cm_mmc=Email-_-WebletMain-_-CANLET-_-03order&SRCCODE=CANLET

RAM: Corsair Vengeance (2x4GB, 1600mhz)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Video: XFX Radeon 7870 Double D

That's all that I think matters to share, I also forgot to mention that I'd like to have 2 PCI express slots available in case I'd like to install another video card in the future, but if that can't be done for under $100 that's fine. I always like to make sure everything is going to work with each other before I purchase something, so if anyone could assist me in the process I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Yeah.. I mean I got a great graphics card as it is and runs just about anything I throw at it, so I think I'll buy this one, anyone else got any opinions on it?

I own that board & a 8320, have had zero issues. I may be wrong but I believe the only real difference between the 970 and 990 chipset is crossfire.

Since your budget is tight, you might want to consider the 8320 and a PS upgrade or nice aftermarket cooler. I can hit 4ghz no problem with the 8320.
