I am using the 760 right now, but I have recently acquired an AMD A8-6500.
Which one of them is better? Some websites make it seem like the 760 is better and some make it seem like 6500 is better. I won't be using the integrated video card of the AMD CPU. Would changing to AMD be an upgrade or a downgrade? (Mostly gaming)
Edit: I already have a mobo for the 6500 and am just wondering if I should change to AMD or stay Intel.

The A8-5600K (or non-K equivalent) ... scores within a percentage point or two across the board in single GPU frame rates with both a HD7970 and a GTX580, as well as feel the same in the OS as an equivalent Intel CPU.

Being that the A8-6500 'Richland' APU is essentially the 'non-K equivalent' to the A8-5600K Trinity APU, I think you are good.

The AMD A8-6500 'Richland' APU will push any single discreet video card just dandy.

It would help, if possible, for you to wait for an FM2+ motherboard which should be available in the next month or so.

It will offer an upgrade path to the new Kaveri APU ...
