I know, i know, get a better mouse, well i don't have the money for a good mouse right now and i doubt i will see a change in another $10-$20 opitcal mouse so does anyone know a way to tweak your mouse so it is more responsive? i rememeber i found i site that told me how to do it in the registry editor but i was not sure it was genuine coming from one person and nobody reviewing it. i like to play fps games and it is hard to keep up when your mouse sucks

Solution
You may try the steps below and check if the issue gets fixed.

1. Click 'Start' > Click 'Devices and Printers'.
2. You should see your mouse.
3. Right-click your mouse and select 'Mouse Settings'.
4. Here you can change the settings as you wish.

Also try to reduce hardware acceleation of the mouse. For this go to "Control Panel" click mouse in control panel item, now will see speed reduce the acceleration by moving it.

If the above provided steps doesn’t resolve the issue then uninstall and reinstall the mouse drivers on your computer, to do that follow the steps below.
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click System.
3. Click the Hardware tab.
4. Click Device Manager.
5. Expand Mice and other pointing devices...

What is exactly wrong with your mouse? Can you be more descriptive? Is the left click or right click malfunctioning? If it is that is a physical hardware issue that happens to some mouses and you have to clean the pin.

I am just having problems like mouse acceleration and skipping around the screen that is all. I disabled pointer enhance but it is still choppy, I notice it even when pointing at stuff on your desktop but in a game I can really notice it

6. Right-click the Logitech device that you want to remove, and then click Uninstall.
When the confirmation message appears, click Yes.

Note Your mouse does not function at this point.
7. Restart the computer.

When your computer restarts, Microsoft Windows automatically detects the hardware change. Install the mouse driver and check for its functionality.
I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall mouse driver.
