I just started playing battefield again after a 3 month break. When i started playing it was fine, but after a couple days, it started crashing. At first I didn't worry very much since it didn't happen often, but now it is impossible to play a game without it crashing 3-4 times. I tried ninstalling and reinstalling, didnt work. I have checked the temperatures on the cpu (3570k OC to 4,5) they are stable on 60*C.

Help will be rewarded with a cyberhug.

hmm I haven't had that error yet and here I thought I've had every error BF3 could throw at someone :p

Let's try this: Anti Virus & Firewall.

Make sure your firewall allows BF3

And if your Anti Virus supports it switch to game mode, I suspect it's anti virus related.

Let's try this: Anti Virus & Firewall.

Make sure your firewall allows BF3

And if your Anti Virus supports it switch to game mode, I suspect it's anti virus related.

As a precaution and because both mauller and myself suggested it also. Reinstall punkbuster if this doesn't show:

step 1 - go to control panel
step 2 - administrative tools
step 3- services

Ok now press "P" on the keyboard so that you can see Punkbuster files
There should be a Punkbuster A & Punkbuster B

If you only have 1 of the 2 (usually punkbuster A)

Reinstall it either manually by going to the website Mauller suggested or by going to your BF3 installation folder and clicking on : pbsvc.exe <_ click repair install.

IF repair install didn't work cut everything inside your "pb" folder (don't cut the folder from BF3 files though) and paste it into a new folder on the desktop.

This is because sometimes the new installation might not work 100% so IF the new installation fails halfway you copy paste those files in the new folder into the pb folder and just say no if windows asks to replace files with the same name.

Battlefield 3 Stopped Working

Possible Solution 1: If you are facing this situation go to your Origin Client> Right-Click Battlefield 3>Click Repair then Origin will re-download and re-install the game with new patches and updates.

Possible Solution 2: It can happen when the servers will over loaded, be patience and try again later hope it will fix.

Is all that site said about your problem it seems so nvm.
