I have been told that the RAM modules will be blocked by the CPU Cooler so can someone please recommend some low profile ones please.
On top of that the build cost is slightly more than I anticipated spending, I was looking more in the region of £1,100 pounds. Seeing what I have could you downgrade on a few things but try and keep the i7 CPU and the GTX 770 GPU.
Thanks in advance.

Get a 120gb SSD.If this is for gaming, get an i5. there is basically no benefit to an i7 for gaming.
Get a cheaper board. there are boards for $150 which do all the same things that one does.
Get 8gb RAM. Again if this is a gaming build, 16gb RAM is overkill and won't even be used.
That is what I would suggest. I would dumb down the SSD but get a good one. Sandisk really doesn't carry top-notch SSD's. I have a 170$ motherboard that is one of the best out for z87 series. MSI Z87-GD65. Why bother with MicroATX? Just go with full ATX, it's better.
Also allow for better perfomance along with upgrades in the future.
the 4670k is an excellent processor. I have it and have been running it under my H100i for about 2-3 weeks now and I absolutely love it. i7 is overkill for gaming but if you have the money to throw down on it, go for it.
and like he said above, 8gb is sufficient enough for what you'll be doing. Even when I had 4GB of ram, it ran every game i played without a hassle.

Thanks a lot for your comment.
I'm new to this whole building your own rig so I appreciate all the help I can get. What boards would you suggest?
The i7 was picked over the i5 for rendering and photo editing features, likewise with the 16GB RAM so I don't know if I can still achieve those while cutting the cost.

The i7 was going to be used for gaming/video rendering so that's one of the reasons I partnered it up with 16GB RAM. The mATX look really nice imo but going full ATX, will it cut costs?

if your doing occasional video rendering the i5 is fine and if you find 8gb ram too little you can always get more.

Would that be able to Max out BF3 at 1080p?
yes it would be able to at least churn out 60 fps when playing BF3 on ultra/max with 4xAA.

Rendering and Photo editing is part of my everyday thing so I'm in a situation where I'm really not sure.
sorry but there are no more corners to cut if you really want an i7. if you want 16gb of ram it can be done :

I may change out the RAM and bring in 2x 8GB corsair vengeance, been told you can't go wrong with that. If I were to be able to afford the i7 would that MoBo still be a good choice? thanks.

yeah the vengeance is good (i chose the G.Skill Value since you wanted low profile ram) yeah the mobo would be fine but if can spend some more cash i'd get the Asus Z87-A.
