I'm going from console to PC, primarily to play BF4, but I know very little about what to purchase other than what components you need(as in I know I need a CPU,MoBo,GPU,PSU..) I'm going to get a Intel Haswell chip (not sure which one i5 or i7) and I think a Sabertooth Z87 motherboard. My problem is I don't know what graphics card to get, I think nvidia cards look better, but I have no clue as to which one to buy. I don't want the best graphics out there, so I definitely won't be playing on ultra, I'm going more for FPS on mid-ish graphics on a single card (don't want to go all out on two cards). I want to know what card to get and should I go with a single card with my intended motherboard.

Solution
For a cpu i would suggest an i 5 over an i7 cause the i7's only BIG difference from the i5 is is its 4ht cores and 4 real cores while the i5 only has 4 real cores. the hyperthreaded fake cores don't give a noticibale boost in gaming so go i5. whit the money you save from going with the i5 i would go with an gtx 770 or a radeon hd 7970.

I'd suggest a GTX760 the best midrange card right now. At $250/€250 euro it's a great performer at a decent price. With your system would be a good match, and get you high to ultra and good fps depending on which game your playing and at what resolution. It' hard to judge how any GPU's will perform with BF4, seeing as BF4 is only in beta. But you won't be disappointed with a GTX760.
