Hi,

I am considering purchasing a LaCie 4Big Quadra USB 3.0. I have searched online but can't find anything about what I can expect as RAID 5 read and write speeds.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Grant

PR blurb ... Thanks to UAS (USB-Attached SCSI Protocol) compatibility and 7200rpm hard drives, these products reach speeds up to 210MB/s and 245MB/s respectively. With these speeds the user can transfer 10GB of data in less than one minute.

I saw that, but that's with RAID 0. I am interested in using it as RAID 5.

From LaCie's site
"Now with USB 3.0 and UAS compatibility, the LaCie 4big Quadra delivers optimized performance for PC and late-model Mac. Its four 7200rpm professional hard disks configured in RAID 0 provide up to 245MB/s* ."

Still looking for the RAID 5 speeds.

Thanks
