Hey guys, need a little bit of help here as I have been out of the game for quite sometime now with computers. My current build is currently 5 years old and is running a E8500 Intel Core Duo with 4GB of Ram and a Nvidia 9800 GTX+. The reason I want to upgrade is that newer games can't keep up on this PC. I'm looking at a 1500$ budget for my new computer and something that will last me for the next 4 to 5 years as this one did.

Here are some questions I have:

I have an old creative audigity sound card as well because I have a nice set of Logitech 5.1 speakers so would you suggest I get a new sound card or is onboard sound improved?

I will be using only one monitor at the moment so would going above 2GB on a graphics card be worth it?

I would need bluetooth/wireless; should I get a card or find a motherboard with it?

Is there a major difference between I7 and I5 systems? Should I go with the 3rd Gen or 4th Gen?

Is it worth getting a SSD? Are they easy to install?

It's been awhile and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Robert

Solution
You can add an ssd later if you feel the need.

Very solid build.
Good p/p.

Onboard audio is enough

Onboard sound has massively improved, but you can always try using your sound card, 2GB will be far more than enough for a single monitor up to 1440p. Most gaming motherboards come with them, the one I will recommend to you will have a Killer card, which is made for hardcore gaming. 4th gen offers more expansion options, and the i5 4670k and i7 4770K are pretty much the same, obviously, the i7 will be a small bit faster. SSDs are really worth it for photoshop and OS and games that have huge loading times. Here is the build I recommend: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1pGYH
I understand it's 100$ over the limit, but it's a great build, and it's the SSD that makes me go over the top.
