I have been running this for about 6 months now. However it leaves much to be desired. Swtor runs super choppy. Sometimes my cpu useage is around 90-100% while streaming. Even when not streaming myfps are choppy and fluctuate badly.

Just changed out mb and cpu to an Intel i7 4770k and the difference is night and day. No stutters. +20 fps over what I was getting. And only about 60% cpu useage. I was just wondering if it wad the older mb that was causing that. Bios was updated. The only other thing I did was bought another such of ram to give me 16 gb dual channel. Is amd that far behind? I've been an amd fanboi for many years

I thought so too. My wife's fx 6300 runs the game better than the 8350 abs she has less ram. But she does have the 990fx board.

I feel so dumb. THANK YOU!

Plugged this in my wifes Motherboard, and yep there is the performance!

No solution here, unless ASRock updates the BIOS. Vishras are not supported by the 890GX Pro3 MB. (Having bought that motherboard, I know that the Zambezi (Bulldozer core) FX and Phenom II (K10 Thuban core) CPU's are all pretty much drop-ins for the AM3+ socket mother board.) None of the Vishra (Piledriver core) were released yet though when the board was designed. With the 980/990 chipsets now being used by ASRock, it isn't likely that the 890's will be getting update support for the Piledriver design CPU's; (though, I'd be happy to be wrong about that.) That said, the highest performers you can run in the 890GX Pro3 are the FX-8150 and the Phenom II X6 1100 ( for the FX and Phenom II CPU types)

I'm currently "upgrading" from an FX-4100 to a Phenom II X6 1055T, (as I crawl my way up to higher CPU performance one used, eBay bought, AMD CPU at a time.)

Being watt conscious, I researched and selected the best performers for each of the Zambezi/Thuban core processors for this MB; (using a backslash to indicate a CPU type that exists in a 95 watt and a 125 watt TDP profile. I further separately listed the 95 watt TDP profile CPU's, with the 95 watt model number in parentheticals for the CPU's that have a 95 and a 125 watt TDP profile.) The respective PassMark CPU scores follow the TDP.

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T / 5,063
AMD Phenom II X6 1065T 95w 5,131
AMD Phenom II X6 1075T 125w 5,433
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 125w 5,697
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 125w 5,869
AMD FX-4100 95w 4,043
AMD FX-4170 125w 5,213
AMD FX-6100 95w 5,407
AMD FX-6200 125w (not BE) 6,109
AMD FX-8100 95w 6,085
AMD FX-8120 / 6,573
AMD FX-8150 125w 7,655
