Can I do this with my old laptop to my new desktop?

Hello, I wanted to ask you guys something, because I need some help. So I have a laptop that broke recently and I am looking to buy a gaming desktop, but I have only a 800$ budget and I would like to save 80$ from windows, so is there any way that I can install my windows 7 from
My laptop to my desktop.( I will not be using the laptop anymore)? Is there anyway I could do this? As long as its only Installed on one device at a time? Thanks and I appreciate it!!

Depends on your license. OEM licenses do not allow for the OS to be installed on more than 1 system, ever. Some licenses allow the OS to be installed twice and they keep track of that by checking the processor that the OS is running on. You can try it. Worst case, it...
