I bought a stick of 4GB ram last year and it was pretty high quality (1600MHz) and was good looking too. Bottom line, it was a stick of decent 4GB's of ram for just under $30.
However, when I try to look for ram today (With similar specs), they go way beyond $40. I am planning on doing a build, and was wondering if ram prices will go down in the future. I read some articles written about 1-2 years ago regarding building PC's, and they all listed ram prices should do down dramatically.
Please give your opinions and evidence of why ram prices will lower or rise.
Also, I need suggestions on a well preforming yet cheap 2x4GB and/or 1x4GB sticks of ram.
Here's what I found: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6600772&SRCCODE=LSCAN&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&AffiliateID=8BacdVP0GFs-Z5VzYtSE8ezBg3Msg2.Xhg
