Good afternoon everyone. I was here originally when I was setting up my rig, and despite not being a regular contributor, I was hoping you could help me yet again. I am having some issues with laggy, choppy gameplay with relatively non-taxing games.

I am considering swapping out my 2 graphics cards for 1 better model, but am unsure if that would solve the problem. As follows, please find my system specs.

OS = Windows 7 64bit Professional
HDD = 100gb SSD for games/OS, with 3 2TB drives for media.
Memory = 16 Gb RAM (corsair 'dominator')
CPU = Intel i7-2600K CPU
GPU = 2x Radeon 6970 set up with AMD crossfire
MOBO = GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 by Gigabyte

What's my next step to find the bottleneck and what should I upgrade? My drivers are all fully updated but I get choppy lag even on games like Skyrim if I don't set the graphics down.

I would wait , The newly released 13.8 drivers is the first step in solving the cross fire issue with amd cards. They will get better making full use of your 6970's until then live with it or just use one card. I7 2600 with one 6970 should still play games very well
