I saw that the gtx 760 is $250 on amazon but, I also have been looking at getting an i5 for $220. The reason why I am skeptical of getting the gtx 760 is because I have a Intel 2 duo core e6850. If I get the gtx 760 will the duo core bottleneck it resulting in a decrease of frames or, should I get the i5 to stop my duo core from bottlenecking my gtx 560?

well the problem with the i5 is that you will have to get a new motherboard and ram to make it work.

Well man if E6850 bottleneck GTX 560 it's SURE that it will bottleneck your GTX 760. Right now I would suggest changing your CPU. Then wait if AMD HD 9000 series, maybe launched in Octobre, will overkill current GTX 700 series CPUs.

Will the i5 work with a Striker 2 Formula?

i think you should instead save your money. like carowden said you were gonna need a new mobo and ram so you will need about 350$. but if you can manage to save around 350-400$ quickly then you can just buy the GTX 760 for now and overclock the CPU with a cheap cooler to reduce the bottlenecks to get a slightly better gameplay while you save the cash...

no, you will need to get a motherboard with a socket that corresponds to the i5 that you find. They will all be labeled by the socket (1156,1155, or 1150). i would get one that is either ivy bridge or haswell (1155, or 1150), if you decide to go the i5 route either way. the 560 can carry you by for a little while until you get money for a new gpu. i feel like a core 2 duo will struggle with a lot of newer games.
