Network Properties problem

When I go to the network adapter page in control panel and try to disable or edit the properties of my adapter it says "error disabling connection: it is not possible to disable the connection at this time. This connection may be using one or more protocols that do not support plug-and-play, or it may have been initiated by another user or the system account." then for properties it says "network connection: an unexpected error occurred" Please Help. I am running windows 8.1 pro preview with media centre build 9431.

Make sure you have a copy of the latest driver from the mobo's downlaod page, then unplug your ethernet cable, boot into safe mode, uninstall the network driver, boot again, Win will install the default, then update that from the downloaded copy
