Does Windows XP back-up drivers?

Hello,
I am wondering whether backups of Windows XP Professional include necessary drivers for the computer when reinstalling. During backup, I chose "backup everything," so it should have a system image. Would the drivers be included in the image or would I have to reinstall the clean OS, install drivers, then restore the old backup?

Thanks for the help

I haven't used Xp backup in a long time, but if I remember right, it doesn't allow you to create a rescue disk. If this is the case, you would need to install XP, run the backup software, and restore the image.

It's probably better to get some free backup software like macrium reflect that can image the drive and create a rescue cd. You boot from the rescue disk right into the backup software and do your restore from there.
