Hey Guys,
Really bashing my brains out against the wall on this one. I've had my Lenovo Y580 IdeaPad for a year now, and have had no problems up to this point. Unfortunately, as of two days ago, whenever the dedicated graphics (Nvidia gt660m) kicks in, it brings about a BSOD with the error read out as 0x0000116, which I found to be GPU driver related.
Now I've rolled back and updated the drivers for the card to literally every available driver for the card. I outsourced it to a Geek Squad like company to diagnose the issue and they said that it was software related, surprising me as I thought the only thing left would be a hardware problem. Anyhow, I'm desperate for a DIY solution as I'd rather not fork over a heap of cash for a quick fix.
My system specs are as follows:
Lenovo IdeaPad Y580
Display: Nvidia GT660M
Processor: i7 3610QM
DirectX: 11
RAM: 8 Gigs
Any feedback and/or potential solutions would be much appreciated.
