I have an AIO printer. Directions say to plug fax line into telephone jack. But the modem is using that. Can I plug my fax line into the modem? Will that work?

Most modems have a line in, where your telephone feeds in to your modem, and a line out (usually has an icon of a telephone handset above it), which connects to your telephone handset. This enables you to use the modem when you want to, but when not using it you can use your phone.

So what you might want to do, assuming you have two phone jacks on the back of your modem, is to take the one that daisy-chains to the handset and feed it to your AIO printer for the fax. The AIO should also have a second phone jack that you can feed into your phone handset. So in effect you're daisy-chaining the phone line through your modem, then into the AIO, then into the phone handset.
