No bootable device OS wont load

the computer is a toshiba satellite C855D-S5320 windows 8. i had this computer since christmas a month ago one of my brothers stepped on it and broke the screen having replaced multiple screens before i went for it disassembled it completely to also clean it. replaced the screen turn it on screen works fine but it wont load the OS. turns out the hard drive is broken somehow. i replaced the hard drive and tried to install a clean version again but it wont recognize. the bootable CD or USB stick i made i have ran out of options hoping you guys can help sorry if i forgot any thing to say

Where did you get the Windows 8 ISO from? It's obviously not working...

i downloaded a windows 8.1 preview since it was at the moment and im kinda broke to buy a whole new license. and the USB stick works fine on my other laptop. is there anyway i could maybe install the OS on my other laptop and just change the hardrive to the one with no OS?

Correct procedure would be to obtain Recovery Drives from Toshiba, especially as your Laptop is still within the Warranty period. Otherwise you would need a full Windows 8 installation disk together with it's Product Key, and then download all drivers when installed. Once you are up-and-running be sure to create a System Image as it is easier to recover with.

No. The only official way to download 8 is to purchase the Retail or Upgrade version from Microsoft, whereupon you will be given a download link that gives you access to the download provided you have the correct Product Key. I'm fairly certain the key that goes with your (OEM) version will not be accepted. Link here

i was able to fix it after much trial and error i had to disable some settings on the bios so i could boot from usb thanks for the help regardless

i no longer have the laptop and i cant remember the specific settings but ill be happy to help if you send me screenshots of the bios and ill walk you thru it
