Been running dual HD6950's for about a year and a half. Been saving cash for an upgrade for Battlefield 4 to see the game at it's best right from beta which is in a month or two. I wanted to buy a single slot card instead of going crossfire setup again (I just seem to see better results from a powerful single slot card over SLI/Crossfire). I am willing to spend around 550-600 bucks considering I will use this card another 18 months or so. What would be the best upgrade to single slot from Dual 6950's and also how much of a performance gain would I be getting out of the upgrade. I bought the dual 6950's when i got my new pc a year and a half back so I was assuming upgrading at this point would be worth the cash. Any feedback would be
appreciated, I haven;t looked into graphics cards since i bought the new pc an was hoping to place the order for the new card within the next week.

Specs:
I7 3930k @ 3.2
16 Gigs Ram - 1600mhz
256 Meg Crucial M500 SSD

Based on PCPartPicker, there are no current single card solutions in the $550-$600 range. While I don't have any numbers, I'd say that even upping your budget to get a single GTX780 would not give enough of a performance boost to merit the cost. But hey. It's your money. Get a GTX780 and call it a day.
