Hello everyone and thanks for reading. Just built a computer (here is the part list) except I returned the CPU cooler as it turned out not to be compatible and got This power supply instead.

Here is the issue; Every now and then (very randomly but at least once every 15 minutes) the computer will reboot. There is no warning sign, all of a sudden the computer will just be restarting (or it will freeze til I restart it). The screen that says that the computer was not shutdown correctly appears and then I usually pick "start windows normally" (or whatever). Windows 7 installed correctly and the problem happened even before it was installed while setting up the Bios. When the computer does run though, it runs great. Also the bios said the CPU was running at 54 degrees Fahrenheit while just on the bios not doing anything.

Please help?

Solution
Well it could be one of the following on the list below

1. Psu not installed properly or failing or voltage switch is not on right setting
2. Bad memory. This can cause reboots to prevent regestry or system file corruption.
3. Virus's and worms
4. Recent hardware installed can also cause crashes when the driver is not installed
5. Regestry errors and corrupt system file
6. Bad mobo
7. Newer computers have a setting in the BIOS that shut down the computer when overheated

It sounds more like a virus related thing if it randomly reboots. Check all of these on the list and see if any of these help.
