new pc , new video card isnt running

hey i just got a new pc everything new on it pretty much etc. i turn it on but my graphics card isnt running nothing on my monitor , if i can get any advice i would gladly appreciate it. thank you ;)

Check to see if the onboard video is the main video right now. If there no output try pulling the gpu see if onboard video turns on. If there no post with onboard video check that the four or eight pin atx power plug on the outside of the mb is plugged in. Make sure you used mb standoffs.
