Hi guys. I have a Transcend external hard drive. When I'm watching videos on my laptop, it will freeze randomly for 5 to 10 seconds and then continues. But when I watch on my desktop there are no freezes. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15R Special Edition.

It is most likely is the processing speed amd graphic card of your device. I believe your laptop is using integrated video, so it might have this problem. Alternative, you can copy the video to the laptop and play from there.

Okay alright. But the thing is. When I use another external HDD which is a Seagate HDD, there seems to be no freezes. Is it that my Transcend HDD is faulty?

Hi,
I have the same external HDD (Transcend 1Tb), and using ASUS Zenbook.
Same 5-10 seconds freezes when watching movies.
I have the same movies on a Hitachi HDD 1Tb, and there is no issue.
Anybody has a suggestion?
Cheers
