how do I change the function of the question mark key back to a question mark? Currently, pressing that key only gives me the alternate function, the large E (printed on the key in red). I cants seem to change it!!

You need to change your keyboard input method back to English. Right click in the lower left corner (where the Start Screen would launch) and select Control Panel, then select Change Input Methods under the Clock, Language, and Region category. Select English (United States). The Keyboard Layout shown to the right of the language title should show US, if your English (United States) is set to a different keyboard, you can select options and select US under Input method.
