Hi all,

Im not sure what route i should take. I have a EVGA 570gtx First Gen (not overclocked average regular card) It runs all my games great but im starting to see tearing and FPS drops in certain games.

Is it worth to go with a 770GTX or should i wait for the new 8series or new architecture on the Nvidia Cards? What do i do with my old 570gtx and my old ATI 5850 Black edition lol?

Solution
You should see a noticeably improvement with the 770, you could use the 570 as a dedicated physx card if you wanted to. Try and sell the 5870. Or you could look into getting another 570 and hooking them up in SLI. Tearing can be fixed by enabling vsync btw.

I do have it enabled... hmmm maybe my asus 2ms monitor is pooping the bed. Also I guess ebay would be the best bet for the video cards.

As for the 570gtx as a Physx Card... will there be a big room for improvement?

Cant find another 570gtx, and i dont want to spend over 250 for one lol

I don't know how much of an improvement you will see with a dedicated physx card, it might be a nice boost. But of course this is only with games that actually use physx. Google around and I'm sure you will come up with something. If you don't want to do that try and sell it to help pay for the new card. Always feels good to get a new card and only pay half the price once its all said and done.
