I just built my first computer and want to make sure i have safe temps. Kinda worried if i did everything good enough in terms of airflow etc.

I just played bf3 and used coretemp software to monitor my cpu. I sat around 50C on my cpu and about the same for my gpu.

i7 4770k
2gb evga geforce gtx 770

What are my max temperatures i should be ok with before investigating for problems?

Under full load you want to keep your CPU at or below 80 degrees Celsius. The GPU can go a little higher than that but anything above 90 is a little high. Google safe operating temperatures for your specific gpu if your concerned. Right now it looks like your temperatures are very good though.

If you get 50C under load that's really good. It means that they probably sit around 30C on idle. But these are pretty good temps, don't think you can achieve much better than that with air cooling.

I believe your GPU can go up to 90C and your CPU up to 100C. Of course you don't want to go too close to these numbers, but as burdenbound said up to 80C you're still in the safe zone.
