My power supply is modular and I need help connecting some cables. First, I have a VGA red cable to go the graphics card that is split into 2 six pin connectors on the end, so do i connect both to one graphics card (since my xfx 7950 has 2 slots). Or is the split cable solely for crossfire and do i only connect one cable to my card.
Part 2: I need to know what do do with a cables that say cpu1 and a cpu2. Do I connect them to the heatsink or are they for aftermarket heatsinks, because my stock cpu cooler doesnt seem to have a slot to connect this cable at first glance.

Solution
Correct. The purpose of a split 4+4 cpu cable is to be able to accommodate those motherboards that need only a 4 pin cpu cable.
Your graphics card needs 2 6 pin pci-e connectors. I would use the single lead that has 2 6 pin connectors, and plug them both in to your card. One lead will keep your wiring simpler and is designed to give the two connectors all the power they need.

If your motherboard has a 8 pin cpu port, use the 8 pin cpu(1 or2) cable.
If the cpu port is 4 pin, use the 4 pin connector.

Your cpu cooler does not need any power connector. It will have a PWM fan with 4 pins which should be connected to the motherboard header identified as cpu1 or similar.

I was looking in the wrong place for the cpu then. I do in fact have a 8 pin connector located on the motherboard. My cpu cables for the psu appear to be 2 4 pins with a split in them. Is this ok plugging them in side by side into the same port or is there someway I can merge the 2 four pins on one cable to make an eight. That is the side I should connect to the motherboard I assume, because the full eight pin on the other side of the cable is for the psu.
