B75 Mobos: XMP/Quad-Core Processor Support/General Comparison

Hi,

Does Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H and Asus B75M-A support quad-core processors? Additionally, does B75M-A support Intel XMP?

If both mobos do support the above features and equally support almost every other feature, which one should I go with?

Shall greatly appreciate any help/advise on this.

Thanks.

Yes, all those motherboards support everything you need. As for the manufacturer I would rather go with asus.

Thanks a lot for the quick response my friend.

You've really helped me finalize the matter, as I believed Gigabyte was better, but was really confused bcoz it does not have even a single PCIe x1 slot which I desperately required for a sound card (probably none of the good ones other Xonar Essence ST comes with standard PCI nowadays).

Well thanks so much once again.

There's only 1 x16 slot on GA-B75M-D3H where my GTX 770 will go.

Thanks anyways brother.

I just rechecked. Another one is PCIe x4. Is that ur talking about? Will that work too for PCIe x1 cards?

It's a x16 slot at x4 speed. As long as it's a pcie slot, it will work.

Thanks bro.

So in that case, due to the fact that my GPU is also going to be Gigabyte's, is there a slightest chance of it being more compatible with Gigabyte mobo than Asus??

It may seem rubbish :) .. and apologies if it does... but I'm not looking at it from the performance perspective of course, but better... rather optimum compatibility.

It won't matter.

The only notable difference in the mobos is ram slots 4 vs 2.
