I think I have finally found the computer im going to get! After months and months of researching and saving I think I have got a final build. I should have the rest of the money by mid september and then I can finally order all my parts. Check it out! Any suggestions are welcome. The build is going to be used for lots of gaming streaming and video editing for youtube.

That is not a good build for the price!! There...done. Wasn't so hard really ;)

Hehe, jk. No, for your purposes it is a good build. Personally I would look at a cheaper cpu heatsink solution (you can get similar performance for less)...but the one you have is good. The big thing is the psu...it is very much overpowered for what you have there. On the other hand, if you plan on expanding the system with more graphics cards in the future then it might make sense.

1000W PSU is massive overkill.
Would probably recommend 2 760 cards instead of 1 770 card based on everything I've been reading.
Recommended a 23" Monitor to someone today for $100. 1" worth $150?
No matter what the reason I'd never pay more than $20 for a keyboard.
I approve of the mouse.
No idea what a Corsair Vengence 1500 is for $60

The prices might be good, but I'll bet I could get pretty much the same performance out of a $1300 build.

looks good, but I would get a 750W psu unless you plan on using sli in the future. You don't need 1000W

this is really good:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151132

or alternative, to save more :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151107

Then the only thing left to answer is "Will a marginal performance increase be worth the extra $800 it costs to get that increase in performance?" If the answer is yes then you've got a great build.

Hi,

Not bad but if you want to bring the price down a bit, you can change them for something cheaper

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4GB Video Card ($449.99 @ Amazon) ==> overkill for your setting 2gb would be fine

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G2 1000W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($189.99 @ NCIX US) ==> 800w would do for now

Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($119.99 @ Newegg)
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder 2013 Wired Optical Mouse ($57.24 @ Amazon)

Agreed.

I have two 770's and love them...but the monies...oh the monies. :) Cost to performance ratio just dies when you get two expensive boards like that.

If you do something like that your system isn't out-dated as quickly. However, I can build a $1000 PC this year and another one in 2 years and I'll bet my new build in 2 years is probably faster than the PC you spent $2000 on 2 years ago.

With that said I'm running a $1000 PC that still costs $1000 for the same parts 9 months later. This might be the first time my PC hasn't become before I finished assembly.

Thanks for all the tips guys. So im guessing the general consensus is that if I have the money. This is a great way to go? But I can save money in certain areas if I want too. Im pretty set on this build and I dont think its worth it to downgrade the PSU for another one thats only like $15 bucks cheaper for the same quality as this one with like 250 watts less. I do want to keep the 4GB card because I dont know how long its going to be until I upgrade and I figure spend an extra $50 now or spend an extra $400 later.

Of course you could. I completely agree with you. The question is whether or not the premium you pay for marginal performance increases in the present is worth it or not. And that depends entirely on the the person building the system, their preferences, and how much money they are comfortable spending.

That 4GB card is also going to be good for your video editing...so personally I don't see a problem with it.

There man. That's a MUCH better system with a lot more GPU power and everything else is very solid.

Don't overspend on your keyboard + mouse. I picked a 8000 DPI mouse that's very good (I use it everday and it's perfect) and a good keyboard.

Also, you won't need a closed loop water cooling system. It's barely better than the Evo 212 for a lot more money, also you won't need it unless you're a OC manic. In which case, get a custom open loop

Where could you possibly get a 7990 for only $679.99....

I have seen them at TigerDirect for 699. But honestly, I would stay away from any amd multi gpu solutions until they get the stutter issues worked out.

Didnt AMD's new driver update fix the stuttering issues? It just came out a few days ago.

Ah...well maybe it did :) I haven't seen anything on it yet. Worth looking into though...if they actually fix their stuttering issues then crossfiring some amd cards is a very good option.

as long as you play on a single monitor with max 1440p and play directx 10/11 games, yes its fixed and on a similar stage with sli, sometimes a bit worse, sometimes even a bit better, there are already enough reviews of the 13.8 beta driver

Outstanding! I have been staying away from amd for a while because of this issue. Good to know I can look at them again.

@UnexceptionalJew - Good luck with your build! You will love those 770's :)
