cougar fans
i can also use two fans in my Haf932, if one is enough for the cooler

which option is the best:

1) stock on cooler / cougars in case
2) stock push / one cougar pull other in case
3) stock pull / one cougar push other in case
4) stock in case / cougars pushpull
5) one cougar push / stock + other cougar in case

sorry for too much options :?
thanks in advance

dont replace the fan with the cougar or any other fan as there would be minimal performance increase

i already have the fans, a minimal performance increase is better than nothing :D
how u sure it has a performance increase?
thats very important too, to know which fan is better

i have played with push pull on my hyper 212 and it not that significant at all. maybe a degree or so. improving case flow would mean a whole lot more.

yes my advice would be leave it as it is

if u just wanna waste ur time and effort go on put them on and i m sure u ll not get more than 2c results if that is sufficient go on mate

the thing is that the hyper 212 is already pulling as much heat as it possibly can and that fan that is there is already pushing through the max effective amount of air.

I have tested the absolute limits of the hyper 212 with a 5.0GHz i5 2500k @ 1.5v+ and it does not matter how much air you shove through there. making sure you do not have pockets of hot air inside your case is effective but the cooler is already as perfect as they come for how much copper and aluminum is there. if you want better colling you will need more surface area fins.

i use a haf 912 with the 200mm fans on top and in front and smaller 120mm in the back and side. this added more to my cooling than anything else.

Options 2 and 3 are right out. When having a push-pull it's best to have identical fan types.

So I would either put both on the heatsink, or both somewhere on the case, if you can fit them.

For funsies, do some experimentation. Try putting them on your heatsink, see if you get any gains.

(Out of curiosity, do yours make that horrible whine/whir when the PWM is being used?)
