is my motherboard fine with my setup?

Solution
You should not be using a 780 chipset board with such a high wattage CPU. But since you are now using it anyway. Drop that OC or risk killing both your CPU and motherboard.

For any sort of mild OC you need at least a 970 or 990fx chipset for a higher OC.

ok so i lowered the voltage but not the clock and ive been playing crysis 3 on highest for 30 min
new max temp is 47c and max voltage is 1.380v @49.30w

is that ok? or do i have to lower the clock?

Are you using stock cooling?
Stress testing should be done with something like OCCT or Prime95, NOT games.
You can keep the clock the same as long as the voltage is as low as possible, THAT is what causes damage, not the clockspeed.

I would not OC on that board at all if I were you.

Seriously, drop the overclock and get a better cooler. You do not want to over stress your motherboard. It is not meant for that stuff. You know.. So, just run the CPU in stock speeds and get a good cooler so that no overheating issues would be there.
