I put my laptop hard drive in my desktop as an experiment and i installed the mobo and graphics card drivers on the hard drive. Now i tried to put it back in my laptop and when i try to start it up i get a blue screen. It boots in safe mode. I installed a program on the computer called driver sweep or something. it was able to recognize the graphics card drivers were no longer being used but i still need to remove the mobo drivers. can someone tell me how to uninstall these? thanks

Then you need to do a clean installation. If you did not get a Windows 7 install disc with your laptop you can download a legitimate iso image to make an install DVD of the exact same version from DIGITAL RIVER, the authorized MS online site. Then activate with your key, which should be on a sticker on your laptop. And don't forget to backup all your data first as everything on the drive will be wiped.

Experimentation is a good thing for learning. You will probably never forget this, or that you had to do clean reinstall to fix it.

I would try reinstalling the correct chipset driver in safe mode, it should replace the desktop driver and you can download it from the laptop manufacturer web site or Intel/AMD depending on the chipset.
