Hi,
I've got an Acer Aspire 4830T6872 with a Matshita DVD-RAM.
I use VLC player for reading DVD Videos, and everything worked alright until recently.
Now I'm unable to play the DVD's, but still able to see them in windows explorer.
Also did the upper/lower register thing but that didn't help.
DVD I use are original material (not copied).
Any ideas how to solve this issue ?
Thx

Just discovered that region 1 DVD's still play OK in VLC (the PC is setup for Canada).
However, region 2 DVD's don't play anymore in VLC: they did until now on the same PC with the same version of VLC.
What happened ?

How many times have you changed regions? The drive can only change 5 times. On the 5th one the change becomes permanent.

Hi,
I actually never changed the regions: with VLC, I was able to play region 1 and region 2 DVD's, without having to change DVD region.
