Hi I have mobo Gigabyte x79 UD3 and cpu intel i7 3820. PSU 800W. I boot computer and appears the initial screen of gigabyte emblem and says function keys, TAB post screen, DEL bios setup/Qflash ,F9 system information, F12 Boot Menu, END Qflash.
I press DEL and a black screen appears with a blinking cursor top left.
If I do not press a key after some time the same black screen appears.
I cannot enter to bios. I tried to put a DVD with win8 setup in DVD player but the same happens. I put the keyboard in PS2 port, the same happens. I put keyboard in usb port, the same happenss. Then I turn off computer.
How can I enter to BIOS???

Hi, I had put the battery out of motherboard, I left it outside for one night, and the next morning I did put again the battery in the motherboard. But the same problem. A startup logo with function keys appears and whatever I press, I wait and appears a black screen with a cursor blinking top left.
Nothing happens. I put a live dvd of linux in dvd player, but nothing appears on screen. Maybe I go for a new battery but I must wait the weekend to pass because today is saturday and the markets are closed

During POST I hear 1 short beep when I turn on pc.
After 26 sec I hear again 1 short beep.
Then, after 26 sec I hear again 1 short beep.
Then after 26 sec I hear again 1 short beep.
After these beeps the screen becomes black
and a cursor is blinking top left
Is that indicating that there is a problem?
