I recently bought a laptop from HP loaded with windows 8 (not pro) and I hate it... windows 8 that is. I want to downgrade and install a fresh copy of windows 7 on it but im afraid if i do that some drivers might not transfer over and work, ex: track pad, finger scanner, webcam and so on. When I look for drivers on hp's website they only give me ones for windows 8 not 7. I know that hp is trying to get their costumers to stay with windows 8 so i know there are ways of getting the drivers for 7. My question, is this safe and how to i go about doing this? My laptop is an HP envy 15t-j000 it has the new i7 haswell and an nvidia 740 graphics card. Please help!
