i've been having this problem ever since i added a second hard drive to my computer. After looking online i'm very sure that it is indeed something wrong with the hard drive. This mainly happened after i installed windows 7 on the new hard drive as i was planning on using it in another computer and wanted to get an os on it. anyways since then i've been having problems with my computer like drivers screwing up (like my graphics card stopped working because windows detected a problem) i dunno why. I formatted the second hard drive completely to factory settings. I still had the problem then i tried disconnecting it completely and that didint do anything. somehow i managed to delete my audio and internet drivers by unistalling my video card drivers ( i was planning on uninstalling my video card drivers and reinstalling them hopefully to fix it.) so i got fed up and just reinstalled windows. everything is all good now but i still have a very slow startup and my graphics card is not working. (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)) it hasnt changed a bit. i went into msconfig and made sure the unwanted programs were not open. Does anyone have any suggestions to my problem? it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

HDDssmell pretty bad after they have been fried.
You also didn't give any helpful information, just ridiculed me for actually trying to help.

All I can say probably a bad HDD but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of bad RAM since your hdd actually still runs (doesn't mean its not bad though).
