i've recently been having issues with my asus gtx 560 ti graphics card. The card has worked fine up until the point where i reinstalled windows 7 on a separate hard drive from my usual one. I thought it wa just the drivers but i uninstalled them all and reinstalled them all again and nothing. i even went so far as to reinstall windows and all the drivers on the current hard drive. the fans are spinning as usual both pci E plugs are plugged into it, both lights are flashing green like usual. the display works but i cant open any games because it says unable to load direct3d and different direct X errors and i cannot increase my screen resolution past 1600X1200 Pixels. normally i had it at my monitor's default which was 1650X1050. That's the first thing i noticed that was weird. I've never seen this before and that's why im confused about it because i dont know what i would do if it fried :(  does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do? it would be greaty appreciated. thanks. P.S: it never had any issues in game recently; and it never froze while i was playing games or anything. also i make sure it doesnt overheat because i monitor it frequently and i even have a third fan hooked up to it just in case.

did you check if your motherboard has any updates lately? lastly i suggest install the latest motherboad drivers again...and check if there is a bios update. im sure its a bios update. if that doesnt help..remove the gpu & try on another system. if still no results...time to RMA the card

i can try to update my motherboard drivers although i dont know how to update them or the bios; i've never done it before. i dont really have another system that can support this gpu without messing something up because of not enough power from the psu. Every other computer in my house is crap.

Suggest you update asap. Its always good to have the latest drivers. every motherboard manafacturer is constantly releasing updates for fixes or flaws that the os might encounter.btw find out your motherboard manafacturer & update straighaway. also try asking a friend if he has a good system to check the gpu out 4 u

i dont think it's fine. there is something wrong but i dont know what. i just plugged in a crappy card i just found in one of my old computers. it was a geforce 7300 LE and it worked perfectly fine. never had it in this system once. also when i had my gtx 560 plugged in it said the current power state was at D3. anything i can do to fix this?
