Specs:
Dell Inspiron 531s Slim Tower
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5800+ 3.0GHz
4GB DDR2
Sapphire Radeon HD4650 512mb low-profile
RAIDMAX 450w PSU

Considering my ancient processor (though it's the best I'm gonna get for socket AM2) I was about to purchase a Sapphire Radeon 7750LP 1GB DDR5 from Newegg. I've read in a forum with a guy with a Intel Pentium G630 (which is a 2core/2thread non hyper-threading processor) having a 7750 and had no issues with bottlenecking. His processor is still better than mine with faster cache and whatnot so my question is; if I purchase this card, will I have problems with bottlenecking? Keep in mind that I'm not an extreme game but I want to upgrade this rig one last time so that I won't have to buy a new PC for a few years (even though I'm way overdue for it). Will I run into problems or should I be fine?

Random question if anyone could answer: I found a AMD 64 X2 6400+ 3.2GHz for a measly $56. This has double the cache and a 200MHz upgrade from my processor. Would this purchase even show much of a improvement from my 5800+?

Imho yes, this cpu bottleneck a 7750 card.
I'm ure you'll have better results then now but you'll can't use 7750 at max capacity :)

You won't encounter any problems, but it would bottleneck it just a LITTLE bit. It's not a top tier GPU, so there you have it, it won't bottleneck much. You won't even notice it since you even said it yourself that you're not an EXTREME GAMER.

With this being said, is it worth the $110 upgrade? If not, can you or anyone else tell me my best option for an upgrade for GPU that is low-profile? I'm trying to get the best card I can get that will perform as best as it can and be better than my HD4650.

Just go with the 7750, how much bottleneck would it be? I bet just around 3 to 5 fps.

Yes there would be an improvement, but MUCH of? I don't think so. And you can always OC your cpu.

OC CPU is almost impossible in this Dell, so slow down here.
Upgrading CPU is the most you can do here., but it could be a problem, check TDP for this.... you will see... OP uses Slim case, bad ventilation.
GPU - go for Sapphire 7750 LP, this is the best choice in your case!
