Hey guys. So i have a 144 hz asus monitor. It came with a VGA cable which i used initially and was getting 144 hz. However, the quality was quite blurry. So i got an HDMI cable, and it looked completely different for the better. However, with HDMI i am not able to acheive 144 hz on the monitor, only 60 hz. Whats the solution? What can i do to get 144 hz on this monitor, and not the crappy quality of VGA? THANKS

VGA just isnt capable of doing more than 1080p 60hz, as you increased the refresh rate it lowered the resolution too free up bandwidth. HDMI is in a similar position, only certain revisions (I think 1.4 or 1.4a) can support 1080p 120hz+.

Solution, use a Dual Link DVI or DisplayPort connection.
