Most user-friendly program to monitor CPU and GPU usage during a game?

Hey guys, my system is "hanging" unresponsively for 10 seconds at a time and I'm trying to narrow down what is causing the hang to happen every 20 minutes or so, is there anybody who can help me use HWiNFO64 to view sensors, and maybe see what is happening?

If I could get a sensor log WRT the system time, and then figure out the exact time when the system is hanging I would be able to find the issue...

While I've so far only used Afterburner, it isn't the best option. Running VRMark (just to compare values) it consistently seriously lowered my score due to quite high CPU-usage (or thread-usage) on my i5-6500. Normally I get what other 1070 users get as well, however clearly my CPU is a potential limiting factor, and when it is, Afterburner is more trouble than it's worth.

That's why a much simpler tool would be appreciated, like FRAPS is for showing the frames, which doesn't affect the performance by the way.
